The Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center is the way-awesome free museum located in the heart of the Fairmount Water Works in Philadelphia.
The Fairmount Water Works served as a pumping station that provided water for the city of Philadelphia from 1815 to 1909 and is now a national historic landmark. The Interpretive Center is dedicated to promoting the “stewardship of water resources” and how your actions on land make a difference in the water you use every day via galleries, special exhibits and film. You can even “follow your flush” through the city!
